Coastal risk reduction and coastal adaptation policies and measures (T3.1) are analyzed based on a review of official documents, interviews with local stakeholders and residents, and field surveys. These same methodologies, coupled with analysis of aerial photographs and satellite images, enable the reconstruction of past-to-present response trajectories for studied overseas territories (T3.2). The assessment of risk reduction and adaptation measures uses the methodological approach and tool developed as part of the ADAPTOM research project and applied to Nature-based Solutions (T3.3). Participatory workshops enable adaptation needs to be discussed, prioritized, and local plans and adaptation trajectories to be co-constructed with local stakeholders (T3.4).
